Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) makes a game-changing discovery in EastEnders next week, as Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) continues to fight her attraction to him.
The pair’s chemistry has become increasingly obvious to those around them in recent weeks, but Anna has remained loyal to boyfriend Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell).
However, forthcoming scenes will see things begin to reach a head when Anna’s sister Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) gives her sister a talking to.
The week begins with Gina warning Anna not to string Bobby along if it’s Freddie she loves.
However, Anna insists she and Bobby are great together and dismisses Gina’s suspicions.
Later, Bobby apologises for taking Anna for granted and she’s cross that Gina interfered. But as the Knight sisters argue, they are unaware that Freddie has overheard Gina saying that Anna is in love with him.
While Freddie then does his best to try and put some distance between him and Anna for Bobby’s sake, it is obvious he has feelings for her – will he be able not to act upon them?
Prior to Bobby and Anna becoming an official couple, Freddie and Anna enjoyed a drunken fling last year, with Bobby left devastated at his best friends’ betrayal.
Whatever does happen between Freddie and Anna, she stills looks set to split from Bobby, as it was confirmed earlier this year that Bobby will soon be leaving the Square, as actor Clay Milner Russell has quit the soap after five years in the role.
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 12 August at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
