EastEnders viewers have predicted a horrifying new storyline for Tommy Moon, believing they have worked out who he could be talking to online on the BBC soap
Tommy Moon could take centre stage in a shocking new EastEnders storyline.
The troubled teenager has only just returned home with mum Kat Slater and father Alfie Moon, after social services decided he needed to be removed from the family home due to his behaviour. Tommy had become aggressive and had been violent towards his mother and his younger siblings, with it deemed unsafe for him to stay.
After an assessment and months of him living with Zack Hudson, Tommy returned home in the latest episode. But his recent mystery scenes where he’s discussed an unknown online friend have sparked suspicion.
It was clear on Thursday night that Kat still felt uneasy around her son, and this continues next week. On Thursday he suffered an outburst which left Kat alarmed.
Fans feared Tommy had not changed and was still dealing with his aggression, while earlier in the week he seemed keen to remain in contact with his mystery online pal. Viewers are now speculating there is more to the scenes ahead of the identity of the friend being revealed next week.

Kat will make a discovery about her son in upcoming episodes, and soon others find out too. Some viewers think Tommy is hiding the truth from his loved ones because it might be more sinister than he has made out.
One theory is that the person is someone who is grooming Tommy online, with viewers predicting a radicalisation storyline for the young teenager. Viewers think it will be revealed that the friend is someone in an extremist group trying to manipulate Tommy, or maybe someone targeting Kat for some reason.
Taking to social media, one fan posted: “Part of a radicalisation gang!” Another fan said: “I think the person Tommy’s talking to online is the one telling him to be horrible to Kat and his siblings and I think he’s giving them money.”
A further post read: “Someone is grooming him online,” while another said: “I bet Tommy friend is in gang.” One fan commented: “Almost certain to be a radicalisation storyline involving misogyny,” as another posted: “Some form of extremism.”
One theory even suggested Harvey Monroe’s son Aaron could be involved, as he remains in prison after crimes with a far-right group. Other suggestions for who he could be speaking with included Janine Butcher, Scarlett Butcher or a sibling of Tommy’s, including Zoe Slater. Viewers will have to wait and see!
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
