EastEnders viewers think they’ve worked out Linda Carter’s tragic fate after death rumours.

There’s concern Kellie Bright is leaving the BBC soap, after cast members were filming a funeral recently. Several Carter family members and people linked to Linda were on location filming sad scenes, with multiple hints that the funeral is for Linda.

There’s no confirmation yet from the soap about the scenes, amid speculation it could all be a red herring. But scenes this week have left some viewers convinced the funeral will be Linda’s after all, and she will sadly die.

This week there was a major twist as Keanu Taylor’s murder was revisited, resulting in tense scenes for The Six. As Nish Panesar found out the true events of Christmas Day, the women were left panicked the game was up.

With Linda pledging to reveal all and tell the police yet again she was to blame, weeks after her initial confession, she seemed ready to admit what she’d done. Linda has been in turmoil ever since she turned killer, unable to face what happened.

So now with the threat hanging over them yet again, like it constantly has been this past year, Linda clearly wants the truth to be out. But this week as Nish blackmailed ex-wife Suki Panesar over their secret, taunting the other women too, Suki agreed to his demands.

But Thursday night aired a shocker, as Nish did quite the U-turn. Not only did he back off from Suki and The Six, but his exit was sealed as he took the fall for Keanu’s death. In an unexpected but welcomed turn of events, he took the blame.

Now, fans are wondering if these scenes will lead to Linda’s possible death. Might Linda struggle with someone else taking the blame? After all, Dean being framed did nothing to ease her conscience, and changed nothing. She said on Thursday it “wouldn’t work”, so might she be right and is it really over?

With her so close to confessing this week, might Nish’s decision to take the fall leave her just as uneasy? Some fans now believe in heartbreaking scenes, the truth my still come out despite the Nish twist.

Fans worry this or even the fact she’s still hiding the truth will lead to a sad death for Linda, either through alcohol abuse or a heartbreaking suicide plot. With Linda still grieving for Mick Carter and already nearly dying earlier this year after drinking too much alcohol, fans are worried she will sadly pass away.
