EastEnders fans believe Teddy Mitchell has been ‘thrown under the bus’ as they predicted a big twist is on the way following a shock revelation about the character.
It’s been a bad week for Teddy to date, with him discovering that his girlfriend Sharon Watts cheated on him with her ex-husband Grant Mitchell during the BBC soap’s 40th anniversary week last month.
On top of this, Teddy remains unaware that Barney Mitchell is not actually his son, with the teenager’s biological father Zack Hudson, who had an affair with Nicola Mitchell many years ago.
In scenes aired on Wednesday night (March 12), Teddy is seen processing the information that Sharon was unfaithful, with Barney revealing the secret the episode prior.
With Nicola rushing to the Albert Square home thinking her secret about Barney was going to be exposed, she’s relieved to see that Teddy still has no suspicions regarding her. Asking Nicola to leave, Teddy begins drowning his sorrows while alone with Sharon, only for Zach to arrive and a fight breaks out between the pair, leaving poor Barney terrified.
Sharon brings Zach back to his home, after he comfortably lost his brawl with Teddy, where Nicola interrupts them with a secret that could change many storylines over the coming weeks.

According to Nicola, Teddy killed their eldest son Harry’s ex-girlfriend Shireen Bashar, a character who was first declared missing back in October.
“Teddy Mitchell is a killer. And if you take his son away, he will kill you. And me. He won’t lose a wink of sleep over it. He slept soundly next to me for years. Shireen Bashar. Look her up and then keep your mouth shut, for all our sakes,” Nicola said.
Shireen’s mysterious disappearance was previously mentioned as the reason why the newest batch of Mitchells made the move to Watford last summer.
Despite Nicola outing Teddy, fans aren’t convinced that he did anything wrong and are adamant that Nicola might be trying to cover her own sinister crime.
@RyanTheSoapking said: “Wouldn’t surprise me if Nicola was lying about Teddy’s involvement in Shereen’s death. We know Nicola has sinister contacts – ones in which Teddy may not be aware of. She’d throw Teddy under the bus at any given opportunity if it means protecting her family.” @MattOfficial92 replied: “I’m wondering if she’s behind what happened. I could be thinking wrong.”

Whether Teddy is the next big bad on the soap remains to be seen, but it looks like the son of Stevie Mitchell is in for a rough few weeks as Shireen’s disappearance takes centre stage.
