EastEnders fans ‘rumble’ Nugget’s downfall as ‘missed evidence’ revealed

EastEnders viewers are questioning whether Nugget will be rumbled over his part in Nish Panesar’s deadly revenge on the BBC soap, amid his family trying to cover it up

There could be more heartache ahead for the Panesar family on EastEnders, following Nish Panesar’s reign of terror concluding this week.

A key piece of ‘evidence’ could place Nugget in the frame for helping his evil grandfather Nish, despite his family trying to cover this up. The villain bowed out in grisly scenes after plunging from the balcony of ex Suki and her new wife Eve’s wedding venue.

In a cruel twist though he poisoned Eve before dragging Suki off the balcony with him, after tormenting his son Ravi Gulati on purpose knowing full well Ravi would lash out. He had it all planned in twisted scenes, taunting his son knowing Ravi would then shove him off the balcony. But what Ravi didn’t know was that Nish had his hand wrapped around Suki’s dress, hoping to take her down with him.

Nish died in the fall, while Suki survived and remains in hospital with wife Eve, who she married earlier that day. Someone else recovering in hospital after the day’s events was Ravi’s love interest Denise Fox, who Nish attacked and left for dead.

But it wasn’t just Nish who played a role in how things planned out, as his grandson Nugget had helped him hide out after he escaped prison recently. Not only that but he helped him keep tabs on the family and even seemingly told him the venue and wedding details.

Denise had rumbled the hideout and that Nugget was in contact with missing Nish, who he’d helped fake his death a day earlier. Nugget left Denise alone with Nish to go to the wedding, and it’s then that Nish violently attacked her and nearly killed her.

In the fallout, Nugget broke down and explained everything to his mum Priya Nandra-Hart about how he’d helped Nish. As his sister Avani laid into him, Priya urged Nugget to realise Nish was the villain not him, and she took action to save her son from trouble.

Priya and Nugget headed to the hideout after Denise had been found and did a deep clean of the place, trying to remove any trace of Nugget. But of course they missed one key piece of evidence – Denise being a witness.

Denise had followed Nugget to the hideout and rumbled exactly what had been going on for weeks. She vowed to tell the police but was stopped, while on Thursday night as she regained consciousness the only details given were where the hideout was.

But with Denise knowing all about what Nugget did and how she almost died as a result, will she tell the police he was involved? One theory read: “Hold on when Denise wakes up and hopefully remembers isn’t she just going to say Nugget was there. Why couldn’t they just say Nugget was manipulated by Nish and was being forced to do it. I hope Priya doesn’t get done for it.”

Another agreed: “Oooo Denise could snitch on nugget.” A third theory suggested Avani might spill the beans, with it reading: “If Avani snitches on Nugget she might just redeem herself.”

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
