EastEnders has aired a major update following Cindy Beale’s attack but some viewers were left distracted
EastEnders has confirmed a huge discovery in the ‘who attacked Cindy’ mystery, but it was Big Mo (Laila Morse) who caused quite the stir with her cheeky banter with George Knight (Colin Salmon).
Kicking off the Walford drama on Tuesday (January 21), George got out of his car holding a mystery bag just as he bumped into Big Mo.
She couldn’t resist a dig, asking him: “Something else to whack Cindy around the head with?”, leaving George baffled, responding with a puzzled: “You what?”.
But Big Mo wasn’t done yet, pressing George with: “George you look tired, not sleeping? Guilty conscious? Here, just between me and you, I won’t blab to anyone, did you do it?”.

As she grilled him, George had a gander over to the Beale’s where Cindy (Michelle Collins) looked cosy moving back with Ian (Adam Woodyatt).
Meanwhile, Cindy’s old flame Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) was also jogging through the Square and looked confused over the latest development.
Big Mo dropped another jibe on George, quizzing: “Are you the Walford Whacker?” nodding to the Christmas Day chaos when Cindy got a bash over the head and left for dead.
George kept silent with Big Mo and instead gave a glare to a smirking Ian, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Over at The Vic, Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry) confirmed their mum Cindy had moved back home and started pointing the finger at Ian.
George felt the need to pop round and have a word with Cindy about the dangers of staying with Ian, but he got the cold shoulder when Ian slammed the door on him, refusing to let him chat with his ex-wife.
Elaine overheard George and Gina’s worry over Ian, so she decided to play detective and tricked Ian into a meeting at The Queen Vic. There, Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) lied about wanting to buy Beale’s Eels but he quickly figured out she was lying.

While Ian was out, George seized the chance to grill Cindy once more, dropping the bombshell implication that Ian could be her assailant only for Ian to rock up in the nick of time.
A fiery face-off between George and Ian kicked off, with fingers pointed and tempers flaring until George lost it and hit Ian, dashing off before things got too heated.
Back at The Vic, George unleashed his rage in the barrel store, but as Elaine rocked up, they stumbled across a grim scene, blood on the floor and the very shovel that whacked Cindy.

Amidst this plot twist in the ‘whodunnit Cindy Beale’ saga, some EastEnders viewers were totally side tracked by Mo’s branding of George as the ‘Walford Whacker’.
Fans hit up social media in stitches, with one person writing: “Are you the Walford Whacker” In absolute stitches here #EastEnders.”
Another fan added: “The Walford Whacker! Got to love Mo! ! #eastenders”, while a third contributed: “Mo asking George if he’s ‘The Walford Whacker’ #EastEnders [laughing emoji].”
“Walford whacker? Lol #EastEnders”, added one fan as another stated: “Not the Walford whacker,” capped off by an army of laugh-crying emojis.
