Some EastEnders fans are predicting an unexpected twist amid Denise Fox and Ravi Gulati’s romance heating up on the BBC soap, with a theory involving Nish Panesar
There could be a worrying twist on EastEnders if a new fan theory is correct, amid a new romance on the BBC soap.
As things heat up between Denise Fox and Ravi Gulati, amid Denise being torn between Ravi and her ex Jack Branning, there’s possible heartache on the way. Ravi appears to have feelings for former fling Denise, with Denise also keen to explore things with Ravi.
The romance is being kept a secret for now, while both Jack and Ravi are trying to win over Denise. That said, some viewers fear they’ve worked out what’s really going on.
They fear Ravi might have a secret agenda with his new love interest, and might be using her. After he learned what happened last Christmas with his dad Nish Panesar, some fans think he could be seeking revenge.
Ravi has pretty much cut ties with dying Nish, amid his prison escape, so it seems unlikely he’d want to help him. Nish also isn’t targeting Denise and is instead targeting his ex Suki Panesar, so there would be no reason for Ravi to go after Denise.
But given he now knows that Denise attacked and almost killed Nish in Christmas 2023, some fans can’t help but wonder if this is his motivation behind the romance. Is Ravi faking his feelings for some sort of payback?

Viewers certainly think so, convinced Ravi isn’t really into Denise and he might have hidden intentions. Taking to X, one fan posted: “Anyone else thinking Ravi is playing Denise after what she told him about last Christmas? I wonder if he’s getting her close enough to completely destroy her. He could already be working with Nish.”
Another viewer agreed: “I thought this,” as a third added: “I thought that x.” A fourth fan posted: “I think you might be right.” Other viewers were not so sure, believing Ravi genuinely liked Denise and that the romance was real.
It comes amid fears for the Panesar family, as Nish plots revenge against Suki and her partner Eve Unwin. As Eve and Suki prepare to wed in the coming days, Nish has plotted to do whatever it takes to stop the wedding.
He vowed to go “nuclear” and destroy their happiness, with fans predicting the end of Nish was on the cards. With spoilers for the big episodes remaining coy, while a dramatic New Year has been teased, fans will have to tune in to find out what happens.
