EastEnders fans are convinced they know what Chelsea Fox has planned for her mum Denise after her shocking revelation
EastEnders fans believe they’ve figured out Chelsea Fox’s plan for her mother, Denise.
Recently in the soap, Denise (played by Diane Parish) has been caught in a love triangle between her estranged husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and former lover Ravi X (Aaron Thiara).
This romantic entanglement is a key plotline for the soap’s 40th anniversary, with fans given the chance to vote on who she ends up with. However, this week saw Denise’s clandestine affair with Ravi revealed, causing quite the stir in the square.
In Thursday’s episode (February 6), Chelsea – who used to date Ravi – was left seething after discovering the truth. During a heated exchange, Chelsea brought up Ravi’s murderous past, but Denise defended him, insisting he had changed.
Unconvinced, Chelsea pleaded with Denise to prioritise her family, before announcing that she and her son Jordan were moving out. Denise then went to Jack’s to discuss the Ravi situation, only to find that Chelsea had moved in there.
Angered that Chelsea could have chosen anywhere else to stay but at Jack’s, Denise finally decided she wanted to be with Ravi. However, a dramatic confrontation between Ravi and Jack at the Vic led to an emotional Denise running away, clearly still conflicted about what to do, reports Plymouth Live.
Internet is now buzzing with speculation that Chelsea might just get her revenge on mum Denise in a serious twist of fate, and things don’t seem to bode well for Denise. A commenter on an EastEnders Facebook fan group speculated: “Watch Chelsea sleep with Jack now for revenge.”
Another eagerly agreed: “I would so love this! ” With a third person adding: “Definitely unforgivable, but Denise kind of deserves it.” Yet another fan expressed nostalgia: “I miss bad girl Chelsea bring her back!”
Building up the excitement further around EastEnders’ 40th anniversary, Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw has teased some audience participation, stating: “We’re all so excited to give our audience their first-ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out.”
Clarifying the significance of the vote, he added: “Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode.”
He then hinted at the drama ahead: “There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!”
