EastEnders airs devastating Eve twist in early iPlayer release

A family dinner takes a turn.

EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (November 12), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has aired devastating scenes involving Eve Unwin after a dramatic family dinner, in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Eve and Suki returned from visiting Eve’s injured mum in Yorkshire – who Nish previously ordered an attack on, in a bid to get close to his ex-wife again.

Eve knows that Nish was arrested for Keanu’s murder while she was away, but she doesn’t know about what else unfolded in the Square on the week of Halloween.

Nish previously found out the truth about the events of Christmas Day last year, and in exchange for his silence, Suki was forced into getting back together with him. He eventually decided to hand himself in for the murder, but not before the pair got their relationship blessed.

In today’s episode, Suki urged the Panesars not to tell Eve about the blessing, saying she wanted to tell Eve in her own time.

The family ordered a takeaway and as they sat round the table, Eve revealed that she and Suki had set a date for their upcoming wedding – New Year’s Day.

But it wasn’t long before Avani spilled the beans, and spitefully told Eve that her grandparents got a wedding blessing while she was away, leaving Eve stunned.

When Eve and Suki were left alone, Eve demanded answers from her fiancée, and Suki explained that it was Nish’s dying wish, and she felt guilty.

Eve wasn’t buying this, though, and realised that Nish must have done something that forced Suki to get the blessing.

While she tried to get an explanation, Suki remained quiet, so a devastated Eve headed out of the house in tears.

Eve went to The Vic for a drink, and she was spotted by Bernie, who is struggling to come to terms with Nish taking the rap for her brother’s death.

She decided to speak to Bernie and told her it was a good thing that Nish had gone to prison, as he is a manipulator and a murderer.

As Eve spoke about her love for Suki and gushed about how honest and pure she is, Bernie rolled her eyes and finally decided to tell Eve the shocking truth.

“You think she’s kind, honest?” she said. “Well, she ain’t. Nish didn’t take Keanu away from me, Linda killed him. And your wonderful Suki, she helped her get away with it.”

With Eve left floored by this bombshell, what will this mean for her relationship with Suki?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
