DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has enacted a dangerous revenge plan after his feud with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) reached new heights in recent Coronation Street scenes.

Things have been tense between the pair ever since David found out about Kit’s one night stand with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), and it is safe to say that he hasn’t taken it well.

In tonight’s episode, David’s anger got the better of him as he drove his car at the detective constable in an attempt to run him over, only stopping at the last second.

As the pair shouted each other down in the street, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) stepped in to separate them, though it was only a temporary reprieve for the two men.

Later, Kit and David found themselves embroiled in yet another row, and this time Kit wasted no time in asserting his dominance and proving that he was untouchable.

Making David aware of the fact that there was no CCTV around, Kit smashed his own car windscreen, before promptly arresting David for criminal damage.

When Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) rounded the corner and demanded to know what was going on, Kit let David go, but reminded him that he knew all of his dirty secrets.

However, this wasn’t the end of Kit’s revenge plan, as he had something much more dangerous in mind.

Earlier this month, Kit warned Matty and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge) to stay away from David as a favour to Shona.

Viewers will know that David stole a large sum of money from dangerous gangster Harvey Gaskell, and Matty and Logan were on a mission to get it back.

Since Kit’s warning, the lads have left David alone, but tonight the detective constable gave them the go ahead to target David again.

Is David in serious danger without Kit’s protection?
