Charlotte Jordan has been on our screens as Daisy Midgeley for the last three years – but what about her life away from TV?
Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan’s life is very different to her soap character’s, when the cameras stop rolling. She’s been playing the fiery Daisy Midgeley on our screens for over three years, but off screen, Charlotte leads a much calmer life.
Daisy’s turbulent journey on Coronation Street since her arrival in 2020 has seen her becoming step-daughter to the Rovers Return’s landlady, Jenny Connor, and finding love with school teacher Daniel Osbourne. Daisy’s affair with Ryan Connor and rocky friendship with Bethany Platt have put her at the centre of the drama on the cobbles on several occasions too. Daisy’s latest storyline sees her make the difficult decision to finally cut ties with Bertie.
However, in reality, talented Charlotte enjoys a peaceful life far removed from the dram of the Street, posting regularly on Instagram to share moments of her day with her followers.
She’s happily loved-up with her boyfriend Paul and often posts sweet selfies of the pair of them. Over Christmas in 2022, the couple looked picture-perfect with Charlotte rocking a Santa hat and Paul cuddling their cute French bulldog.
“We’ve had Olive eleven months and eight days so as you can see I’ve been third wheeling for eleven months and eight days”, she joked in the caption.
In a lovely Valentine’s Day post, Charlotte showed how much she loves her little dog by saying: “My valentine, sorry Paul,” with a cute photo of the pup in a warm jacket sitting outside a cafe.
She has also put up lots of photos where she is having fun with her friends from work when they are not filming. Charlotte went to the Haydock Races with Faye Brookes, Lucy Fallon and Ellie Leach and made a photo collage where she and her friends were smiling at the camera while they are in a special area at racecourse.
She’s also shared snaps with co-star Rob Mallard in the past. Rob portrays Daniel in Coronation Street.
Charlotte once said she almost didn’t become an actress, telling the Metro that she was almost in a pop band that Simon Fuller and Geri Halliwell were putting together. Charlotte explained: “It was a development deal, which means we spent a lot of time bonding, doing choreography and recording songs in the studio sometimes cool songs, sometimes naff songs. You just try to find your sound.”
Away from Corrie, Charlotte has starred in The Bill and Casualty, as well as Netflix series Free Rein, in which she played Gaby Grant. She previously won a British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance for her portrayal of Daisy.
