Corrie to finally expose Joel’s murderer tonight as more characters questioned

After months of Joel Deering’s reign of terror and death, his killer will finally come to light through a series of dramatic flashbacks – but are police right to be watching Lisa?

Coronation Street fans will be delighted that Joel Deering’s murderer will be revealed in Friday’s episode.

The investigation into Joel’s (Callum Lill) murder has consumed the ITV soap for weeks, and all will become clear. While several suspects have been entered into the running, at the moment DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is being closely watched and investigated by the authorities. Coronation Street has released an official teaser trailer for the grand finale, and it looks like viewers will be shown the truth through flashbacks as Callum briefly returns to our screens.

In the trailer, they show a variety of flashbacks which build up to the climax where Joel’s beaten and bloody body is revealed – along with the truth.

Fans have been fed a trail of clues that hint towards the identity of the murderer. With a whole host of people in the firing line, Lisa is the only one suffering legal consequences.

In addition to the suspenseful episode, ITVX will host a live special at 9pm immediately after the show, featuring interviews with the cast and reactions to the revelation of Joel’s murderer.

Not only that, two other suspects have entered the line up, Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and Lauren Bolton (Cait Fritton). While Lisa was arrested by Kit after she was discovered with a suspicious message to Joel on her phone, attention has turned to her close friend, Carla Connor (Alison King).

During Monday’s episode (November 11), fans saw Carla spotting Lauren and Max outside that factory the night of Joel’s murder. Their whereabouts will be revealed on Friday night, but they will undoubtedly be questioned harshly by Police.

Adding to this, Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) still falls under suspicion after she revealed she hit Joel with a crowbar the night he died. Kit decided to arrest Lisa instead, which placed him under huge suspicion by fans.

Several suspects are in the line up

At the moment, Kit seems to be the top of the running in terms of fan suspicion. One X viewer wrote: “Lisa has been suspended from work, Kit is going to frame her for Joel’s murder and her whole life is going to crumble.”

Kit is no stranger to tampering with evidence to further his agenda, and his role will become more clear. Eyes will also be looking towards Dee-Dee’s dad and uncle – Ed and Ronnie.

The overprotective pair previously lied to cover up their whereabouts and are not yet fully in the clear.
