Coronation Street fans are convinced that Betsy Swain is set to fall pregnant in a shock twist – but some viewers are certain that Mason Radcliffe isn’t the father

Coronation Street’s Betsy Swain, played by Sydney Martin, is predicted to be heading for a surprise pregnancy plot twist, with fans speculating that Mason Radcliffe isn’t the father.

Betsy, who is known for her troublemaking ways, made her first appearance on the show earlier this year as DS Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) daughter and quickly stirred up drama on the cobbles.

She got herself mixed up with dodgy lawyer Joel Deering (Calum Lill) and was also behind the robbery at Carla Connor’s (Alison King) factory by thugs Logan (Harry Lowbridge) and Matty (Seamus McGoff).

In exchange for them leaving her brother Mason (Luca Toolan) alone, Betsy let them steal all the equipment from the factory. However, things took a turn for the worse when Carla was attacked by the thugs during their escape.

Recently, Betsy has been growing closer to Mason, with the help of Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim (Joe Duttine), who have been supporting Mason in settling into his life, reports Lancs Live. In the episode aired on January 1, Mason, with romance in mind, arranged a date for Betsy at No. 4.

A delighted Betsy arrived to find a three-course candlelit dinner waiting for her. The pair were then seen sharing a kiss before heading upstairs. Fans are now convinced that Betsy is about to be hit with a shock pregnancy storyline. However, in a potential major twist, some viewers believe that Mason may not be the real father.

Soap fans are on the edge of their seats after spotting hints of a teenage pregnancy plot for Betsy on Corrie. One eagle-eyed viewer said on a Facebook group: “Teenage pregnancy incoming for Betsy.”

Another chimed in with a twist: “Let’s hope Mason’s not the father.” A third suggested another dramatic turn: “His brothers? Could be either of them,” prompting another to respond, “That’s ‘true’.”

To add to the Corrie drama, the latest spoilers indicate that Mason is set to face a horrific ordeal as he gets stabbed by his brothers at the precinct in upcoming scenes. Abi Webster (played by Sally Carman-Duttine) will find herself plunged into the chaos when she discovers the injured lad.

Desperately trying to save him, she uses her scarf to stop the bleeding and frantically calls for help before the paramedics swoop in. In a harrowing revelation, it turns out that Mason was attacked with a zombie knife.
