The Maria Windass actrss has been flooded with messages
Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has been flooded with messages of support after candidly talking about her battle with anxiety that reared its head this week.
Back in June 2021, the actress was applauded by her co-stars and fans as she revealed her latest personal achievement. Samia revealed that after eight months of studying, she had received a diploma in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
It comes as Samia, who is famed for playing Maria Windass in the ITV soap, has previously opened up about her own anxiety battle and regularly shares with her followers if she may be having a bad day, what helps her or how she combats her feelings of anxiety and tries to stay calm such as partaking in a yoga session in her Corrie dressing room.
In her latest post, Samia said anxiety had her in a ‘chokehold’ and asked for her followers to share some positive updates with her. “Tell me something good that’s happening to you,” she asked alongside an Instagram question box on her Story.
She also wrote: “Being honest, anxiety has a choke hold on me today so any of you have any good news, please share it with me… (and I’ll reshare). I need a nice distraction from my thoughts. Thank you.”
Soon after, the mum-of-two shared a string of messages she had received in response to her call out. She said: “Thanks for all the messages guys! Have a lovely weekend all of you. Feeling better already #thistooshallpass.”
It comes after Samia was seen getting in the festive spirit alongside her family. On Thursday evening (November 14), the soap star took to social media with a string of photos and she and her husband Sylvain Longchambon headed to Dunham Massey for their Christmas at Dunham Massey event.
She shared a sweet photo of herself and the Dancing on Ice star at the light event and said: “@ntdunhammassey Christmas lights trail with the family was gorgeous tonight.” She then shared a picture of her two children walking along in front of her and said: “A rare moment when they’re not fighting,” alongside a crying laughing emoji and a face surrounded by hearts emoji.
Samia ended her evening by sharing a sweet family photo of Sylvain, her daughter Freya, who she shares from a previous relationship and previously said isn’t always a fan of featuring on her mum’s socials, and Yves, who she shares with Sylvain after the pair found love on ITV’s Dancing on Ice. “Can we put the decorations up yet @slongchambon?” Samia brilliantly asked alongside the adorable snap.
