The Bethany Platt actress is preparing to welcome her second child into the world

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has been flooded with messages as she rounded off the year with a social media post as she prepares to welcome her second child into the world.

It has been a big year for the actress as not only did she return to the cobbles as Bethany Platt at the turn of 2024, in which she’s since been seen part of a big botched surgery storyline, a love triangle and the departure of Weatherfield icon Gail Platt, she also revealed plans to expand her family.

Lucy announced over the summer that she and her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson were expecting baby number two with an adorable that featured their first child, son Sonny Jude. They later confirmed their second child would be a baby girl.

The Blackpool-born star has since offered updates into life as she prepares to become a mum-of-two, even joking that she may not be ready for what’s ahead.

In November, she shared a photo from Sonny’s first Easter when he was a baby, in which she could be seen looking at something in surprise, she wrote on her Instagram Story: “Can’t believe that I will be responsible for 2 of these. 2023 me can’t believe it either.”

But with her daughter’s arrival fast approaching, Lucy took to social media with a video full of moments captures throughout 2024 before signing out until 2025. Alongside the post, the 29-year-old wrote: “2024 over n out,” before adding YUNGBLUD track ‘Brekdown’ as the soundtrack.
