Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is given some food for thought about her vendetta against ex-Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) by an unlikely source next week.

Leanne plotted revenge against the pair after finding out they’d secretly reunited following their affair behind her back last year.

Her plot to frame Toyah and Nick for fraud backfired when a row broke out at the police station and Toyah and Leanne were held on suspicion of assaulting an officer.

Nick later set about trying to prove Leanne had fitted up him and Toyah, stumbling upon some CCTV footage that proved she had two phones.

After being arrested, Leanne was later released pending further investigation and is now facing an uncertain future. 

Her former stepson Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) vowed to disown her after the truth came to light, but next week, relations between them start to thaw when she takes him for a milkshake in the café. 

However, when Leanne starts making bitchy remarks about Nick and Toyah, Sam makes out he’s had a text from Nick and needs to go.

As a morose Leanne is left feeling put out, she’s spotted by former love rival Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford). 

She offers Leanne some age advice, remarking she’s well rid of Nick, she should count her blessings and start enjoying life.

Tracy’s words seem to have an effect on Leanne, who is left feeling thoughtful – is she ready to put the past behind her?
