The actress was recently seen sharing her last scenes with Emrhys Cooper as he left the ITV soap
Coronation Street star Jane Danson has surprised fans by reuniting with her villainous co-star. The actress was recently seen sharing her last scenes with Emrhys Cooper.
As fans of the ITV soap know, Jane’s long-running character Leanne Battersby was seen in court last month as Rowan Cunliffe, played by Emrhys, was finally questioned over his involvement with The Institute that saw the group’s mentor brainwash Leanne and got Amy Barlow to part with her £40,000 inheritence.
In the last scenes of the long-running storyline, which started when Emrhys made his cobbles debut as Rown in March, after Amy and Nick had taken to the stand, it was Leanne’s turn and after she was harshly quizzed by the defence barrister, Rowan smirked, provoking Leanne into a furious rant about how he had ruined her life.
But Rowan responded and insisted that Leanne had created her own problems. Later, Leanne, Nick, Amy and Toyah got news of the court’s verdict and were later celebrating the update in the Rovers Return after Rowan had been found guilty, and Amy was thought to be getting some of her money back.
While his Corrie exit aired, Emrhys was busy getting into his next role as he plays Prince Frederick in the Snow White pantomime at St Helens Theatre Royal in Merseyside.
And Jane has been seen supporting him as he stars alongisde The Nolans star Maureen Nolan. Alongside pictures of herself with Emrhys as well as Maureen, Jane wrote on Instagram: “Leanne and Rowan together again- but this time we are smiling! Had the absolute pleasure of watching @emrhyscooper in panto @sthelenstheatreroyal production of Snow White . A joy from start to finish! Thanks for a fabulous show. We loved it! Lovely to meet the fab cast who are working super hard all over Christmas. Have a great run guys!”
Emrhys was quick to respond as he wrote on the comments section: “Awww thanks so much for coming darling. Delighted you enjoyed it xxx.” Corrie’s Claire Sweeney also replied: “I can’t wait I’m going next week.”
It comes after Tony Maudsley, who plays Corrie’s George Shuttlewroth, revealed he’d been to watch his former co-star in his unrecognisable role compared to the calculated Rowan.
He shared on Instagram: “Had a wonderful night at St Helen’s Theatre Royal watching our Corrie buddy @emrhyscooper donning his tights as Prince Frederick of Corrieville, in a cracking production of SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARVES!! They’re on till 12th January so grab a ticket and treat yourselves to a wicked night out!! OH YES YOU WILL!!!!”
