Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd teases fans amid major stunt as he enjoys ‘last’ with fiancee

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been making the most off his time away from the cobbles over the festive season as he seemingly teased that it’s been a busy time for him and his on-screen alter-ego.

Fans of the ITV soap know that the actor is famed for playing Weatherfield’s David Platt and following the exit of his mum Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth for 50 years, it’s been revealed that things are about to get a lot more intense for the Platt clan.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, producer Kate Brooks was RECENTLY quick to confirm that it “goes to pot” for the iconic soap family following the matriarch’s exit, as she explained: “David has stolen a big old bag of cash from Harvey, which was the wrong move. He’s done it for the house and the family, but this escalates massively.

“The story we’re telling is one of a very desperate David, trying to protect his family and keep Harvey and his goons at bay. He is struggling to navigate that and to pay back his big debt. He’s struggling to protect his family. It all comes to a massive head in early February, when we play a massive stunt that has huge consequences for David. So, in trying to protect everyone and do the right thing, he ends up losing quite a few things that he holds dear.

“So, it’s a real journey for David. He’s well-intentioned, but he fails, messes up and makes mistakes, and there’s massive consequences not only for his own family, but for the wider community as well. Somebody does get embroiled in David’s downfall, which is quite unexpected. “

And with rumours of a major stunt yet to be aired on-screen, it appears Jack has been making the most of the Christmas shutdown and headed for some R&R with his fiancee Hanni Treweek as they celebrated their last festive season before they tie the knot in the summer.

Sharing a string of snaps of himself and Hanni enjoying their visit to Spa at the Manor House Hotel in Cheshire, which included romantic dinners, time in the sauna and use of a swim-up bar, Jack wrote on Instagram: “Spa weekend away with my fiancée, a well earned break to get those invisible knots out.”

Hanni was quick to respond, writing in the comments: “gorgeous man,” after making their latest festive season together after getting engaged earlier in 2024. Captioning loved-up photos of the pair on her own Instagram page, the influencer wrote: “our last christmas as Mr & Miss.”
