Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd and his fiancée Hanni Treweek have given fans a glimpse of their upcoming wedding as they shared a special update on social media
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has shared an exciting update ahead of his wedding to fiancée Hanni Treweek.
The 36-year-old actor, much-loved for his portrayal of David Platt, announced his engagement to his partner after popping the question on a magical African safari this summer. The couple took to social media to flaunt their joy, with Hanni sporting a sparkling new diamond on her finger and a post that gushed: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” Now, several months down the line, wedding fever hits as they let slip details about their big day.
The lovebirds turned to Instagram to share an adorable photo featuring their hands, including Hanni’s ring, placed on a creative black and white sketch of Manchester the city that holds their romance’s roots. The charming “save the date” reveals the day they will tie the knot, marked as July 26, 2025, in Manchester.
Although their fingers concealed the precise location, the illustration hinted at a quaint chapel amongst Manchester’s urban charm, reports OK!. Eager to show their affinity for their hometown, the couple captioned the reveal with heartfelt words: “When thinking about our save the dates we wanted something original that celebrates our home in Manchester, the place we fell in love and built our life together. if you look closely, @dave__draws murals are all over the city and we couldn’t be happier with what Dave has created for us! ! thank you for making something so special.”
They concluded their heartfelt announcement with the line: “26th July 2025 we become Mr and Mrs Shepherd!!” Followers were excited at the announcement, with many candidly wishing for an invite to the soap star’s wedding One fan eagerly inquired: “Can I come and invite me lol. I’m your favourite soaplife.”
A second joined in the excitement, expressing hope for an invite with a cheeky message tagging the actor: “Hope I get an invite @jackpshepherd88 shah I am be the Irish guest.” Amidst the jesting, someone else proclaimed, “I’ll be there,” as the banter continued, and yet another follower complimented, adding: “So beautiful. Can I get an invite? Lol.”
Others were quick to share their elation, as a supporter affectionately congratulated them saying: “So happy for you Jack, all the love in the world to you both.” Another echoed the sentiment: “Congratulations Jack and Harriet to 2025”.
The many admirers didn’t stop there, one fan admired the ‘save the date’ cards saying: “They are so special, unique, beautiful and just ‘you’.” And amongst the outpouring of positivity, another added to the chorus of well-wishes: “Awww love these! How exciting x.”
Their engagement earlier this year came as the loved-up pair had been spending a lengthy time exploring Africa since the beginning of June. Jack shared a series of snaps of their adventures, including the various safaris they’ve ventured on where they spotted lions, elephants and giraffes.
During an evening in Zanzibar, Tanzania, they went on a boat trip to take in the sunset and shared a kiss on board, just days before announcing their engagement. The actor met Hanni when she worked in the script department of the ITV soap, and the pair began dating in 2017.
Before meeting Hanni, Jack was with Lauren Shippey for 16 years and they share two children, Nyla and Reuben – Jack also has one child, Greyson, from another relationship. The pair previously said they were on the same page about starting a family of their own one day, with Hanni holding a close relationship with his children.
