Viewers of the ITV soap will discover what really happened to the solicitor during Friday night’s episode
Coronation Street star Calum Lill has hilariously apologised as fans think they have worked out his real soap fate as Joel Deering. Viewers of the ITV soap will discover what really happened to the solicitor during Friday night’s (November 15) episode.
As fans know, Weatherfield’s ‘biggest-ever’ whodunnit has been underway for weeks after Joel’s body was found last month. The twisted character was thought to have taken his own life after going missing after evading court, where he was set to face his comeuppance for some of his horrible crimes.
The police carried on investigating and it wasn’t long before the case became a murder investigation after Joel’s body was found floating down a river. However, it was confirmed he’d been killed with a heavy weapon before entering the water and several people have since been put in the frame.
With Weatherfield crime wall photo now full, during the last edition of the long-running show of the week, viewers will finally get the full picture and will be able to watch as the dramatic details of exactly what happened to Joel after several residents were put in the frame for his murder.
In order to avoid spoilers and keep the suspense going for the viewers, Corrie has decided to hold the exciting episode and it won’t be streamed on ITVX until after its 8pm ITV showing.
In the episode, those tuning in will see a series of flashbacks from the night of Joel’s murder as they are interspersed with DC Kit Green’s police interviews. Viewers will also get the view from the bridge where the death occurred, culminating in the discovery of who delivered the final blow that really killed Joel.
Corrie has also released a new picture which shows Joel dead on the train tracks . Actor Calum, who joined the soap last year as Joel, then took to his own social media page and reshared the snap from Corrie and said: “Sincerest apologies to the crew for the amount of times we had to reshoot this because I blinked.”
It came after he had shared the post earlier confirming the details of his last episode, alongside which he wrote: “The finale,” alongside a single tear crying emoji.
Meanwhile, fans were responded to Corrie’s post thinking Joel isn’t dead after all. @joliehoylex said: “Call me crazy but I genuinly don’t think he’s dead.” @emzlc1 commented: “He’s alive and his Dad (and maybe Kit) has helped him escape #theory.” @soaps_editzz wrote: “Joel ain’t dead and his chillin at kits.” @emmaridley2 added: “I think it’s Kit, Sabrina or Jols dad. Or he’s not actually dead!”
