Coronation Street star Alan Halsall revealed his daughter’s cheeky but hilarious dig at his love life as they enjoyed a father-daughter trip together. The actor shared how the pair had headed off to London for an overnight stay which included theatre shows and sightseeing.

Taking to Instagram, Alan, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, shared updates from his city break with Sienna which saw them watch The Lion King, which Alan described as ‘incredible’, before seeing Disney hit Frozen the following day.

But on there way around a city, Sienna, who Alan shares with ex-wife and former Corrie co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, spotted a show she thought would be perfect for her dad in a dig at his love life.

Back in May, the soap star seemingly confirmed he was single again after years of dating former co-star Tisha Merry. Alan met Tisha, who played Steph Britton on the cobbles between 2013 to 2018, on set and they began dating shortly after she left the show.

It was reported the pair had split before Alan shared a humorous moment on Instagram which led him to make a dig at single life, and suggesting he might be using dating apps to find a new partner.

He shared the funny moment a playful dog attempted to mount him. He posted a picture of the dog, captioning it with a face-in-hand emoji: “Apparently we’re not best friends. Most action I’ve had in a while ffs fml.” He then shared another photo with the dog, suggesting it could be his “New Tinder profile picture”, joking about a possible return to the dating scene.

Now, Alan has shared the sparkly sign for Garrick Theatre’s latest showing, Why Am I So Single?, and alongside it type on his Instagram Story: “Sieanna as we are driving past: ‘Hey dad, look. There’s one for you’. #FFS.”

But the dad-of-one saw the funny side and later paid tribute to his daughter in a sweet Instagram post as he shared photos from their trip, which also included dinner with his on-screen daughter Isabella Flanagan, her Emmerdale star sister Amelia and their mum Rachel.

Captioning the post, the 42-year-old wrote: “‘Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London.’ Dad & Daughter time. 2 Days of fun & Laughter, on to the next adventure.”
