Fans presumed they had spotted him as being the culprit behind the horror fire that engulfs the Platt family home
One of Coronation Street’s newest villains has confirmed their return after fans presumed they had spotted him as being the culprit behind the horror fire that engulfs the Platt family home.
As fans know, it’s just been just over a month since Gail Platt left Weatherfield behind for a new life in France with her husband Jesse Chadwick. But what she doesn’t know is the chaos that has been unfolding for her beloved family on the cobbles.
However, it won’t be long until she does find out as the horror home inferno looks set to become deadly. The shocking events unfold from Monday (February 3) but those watching will be left to wonder about the identity of the mysterious hooded figure we see pushing a petrol-soaked rag through the letterbox of No. 8. .
It is then after, when the fire is proven to be arson, that some of the street’s best-known residents start to feel the heat and find themselves forced to try and convince the police of their innocence.
While at the time of writing the episode had become available on ITVX, many would be waiting until 8pm for the ITV soap’s usual viewing and Harry Lowbridge teased his return to the cobbles as Logan Radcliffe.
As fans know, Logan has been on the run since he and Matty Radcliffe stabbed their brother to death in a senseless attack. Sharing a dark and gloomy photos of him in character hiding from view, the actor wrote on his Instagram Story: “Tonight 8PM. What’s Logan up to?”

It comes after Coronation Street itself posted a video on Instagram on Friday (January 31) as their usual end-of-week episode didn’t air which they captioned: “We’re not on this evening, but here’s a little teaser of what’s to come on Monday,” followed by a fire emoji. The video also showed the Platt family home being blown up, which left the cast shouting as some filmed each other’s reactions. But some eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice the return of one particular character.
@camjmes0 said: “Not them spoiling who did it… Alright Logan [Radcliffe] how’s you?” When @Nat1471 asked: “Whys it spoiled it, where does it mention logan,” the original poster explained: “Logan’s on the run and in my screenshot Logan is watching the explosion go off. He wouldn’t be on set if he wasn’t involved in the fire in the first place.”
