Coronation Street star shares sweet ‘parting’ gift from co-stars as he exits after years’

Coronation Street’s Bill Fellows shared the wholesome gift he received from his co-stars after leaving the beloved soap.

The actor joined the soap as Stu Carpenter back in 2021, and earlier this month, it was confirmed that the actor would be leaving.

Taking to Instagram, Bill shared a snap of a portrait of himself with heartfelt messages from the Corrie cast.

‘Nice parting [gift] with a top quality bottle of Champagne,’ he captioned the post.

His former Corrie co-stars rushed to send their wishes, with actress Cait Fitton, (Lauren Bolton) commenting: ‘We will miss you !!!’

Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, added: ‘Gonna miss you.’

Metro.co.uk understands that Bill signed a three year contract and decided early on that this was what he wanted to do.

It’s yet to be revealed how exactly Stu will depart the cobbles, though it’s possible that his exit will be tied to the return of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).

Stu, as viewers know, has proven sympathetic towards Mason – who bullied Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) last year – offering him some food and even a job at Speed Daal, which has made him extremely unpopular with a number of the street’s residents.

The character has featured in a number of key storylines over his three years in Weatherfield. He was introduced when Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) encountered him while living on the streets.

The two formed a friendship, with Stu very swiftly making it his mission to watch out for Kelly.

Upon returning to the cobbles, Kelly decided to return the favour, looking out for Stu and ensuring he had a roof over his head, which promoted the discovery that his homelessness was due to him having previously been jailed for murder.

But despite the conviction, Stu was innocent.
