Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor enjoyed a sweet reunion with her former co-star Brooke Vincent after the latter teased a possible return to the Cobbles.

As fans of the ITV soap know, Brooke famed for playing Sophie Webster, the daughter of former couple Kevin Webster and Sally Metcalfe, played by Corrie legend Sally.

While she is no longer under contract with the long-running series, the door has been left open for her character to return after Sophie left in the back of a taxi in October 2019.

Asked by Naughty Corner podcast host Charlotte Dawson whether she would ever go back, Brooke replied: “I think I would, I think now the kids are a little bit older and they’re going to start school. I’d love to go back.”

Now, Sally and Brooke have been sharing a number of sweet snaps as they met for a walk alongside Sally’s daughter, Hattie Dynevor, with the former co-stars remaining close off-screen.

Brooke first shared a picture of Sally with Brooke’s youngest son, Monroe. Sally then took to her Instagram Story with her a selfie of the foursome and said: “Lovely walk today with @brookelevivincent and Monroe and @hattiedynevor [red heart emoji].”

Last year, as she made her stage debut in the late Kay Mellor’s show The Syndicate, Brooke hinted that she would love to return to Corrie – but would be devastated to learn her character would be killed. Brooke – who effectively grew up on the set of the show – has described the cast and crew of the soap as being like her family.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous team, Brooke shared her thoughts on returning to Corrie – and her fears her time on the show could end for good.

She said: “Corrie was my home – it still is my home – and I feel like I’ve just gone off to university to do my little thing for a while! I never wanted to leave, because I panic about saying goodbye.

“It’s been a massive part of my life and the people that I worked with are like a family.” She added: “So although I’m not [talking about] a comeback, I don’t want them to ring and say: ‘We’re killing you off!’ either. That would be devastating!”
