Former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman has announced he’s become a dad for the first time. The actor, who played Craig Harris in the ITV soap, revealed the happy news on social media alongside fiancée Celinde Schoenmaker.
The couple, who got engaged in 2022 after four years of dating, first revealed they were expecting to welcome their first child intothe world back in August. Celinde wrote at the time: “We’ve not met you yet, but never been more in love.”
The actress, who most recently starred in the West End musical Guys and Dolls, has now revealed that the pair have welcomed a daughter as they shared the first details about their new addition alongside a sweet festive video.
Writing on Instagram, the new mum said: “At 8.08am On 30-11-2024 our world exploded into technicolor as we welcomed our daughter into the world. Coco Beau Fleeshman, we love you beyond words.”
The video showed three Christmas stockings, one with each of their names, including baby, Coco. Their joint post on Instagram also included a video of them leaving hospital with their baby.
And their friends and followers were quick to respond. Presenter Laura Whitmore said: “Congrats guys.” Actress Kara Tointon replied: “All the love to you all beautiful one. Welcome Coco!” Former Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley commented: “Huge congratulations guys.”
Former Granada Reports presenter Lucy Meacock shared: “Congratulations what wonderful news! What wonderful parents you will be. And a beautiful name too.” West End actress and Celebrity Big Brother star Marisha Wallace typed: “COCO!!!! Auntie’s baby.”
Caroline Thomas, wife of actor Adam Thomas, replied: “The biggest congratulations on Baby CoCo she’s absolutely beautiful. Love you all.” Presenter Sam Nixon added: “Congratulations lovely man. Sending you all the love in the world what a lovely little family x @celindeschoenmaker.”
