Coronation Street spoilers next week – tragic death, children disappear, Rowan, and romance ‘exposed’

The mission to bring down one of the ITV soap’s baddies also continues

There are heartbreaking scenes ahead in Coronation Street as the time comes to say a sad goodbye to Paul Foreman. The former builder will pass away 17 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

He was told he had the life-shortening disease, in which messages from the motor neurones gradually stops reaching the muscles, in April 2023 but as there is currently no cure, Paul and his family have faced the devastation of preparing for his death.

Next week in the ITV soap, while complaining of his hangover, Billy realises he’s lost his phone and is thrown into panic as it contains all of his photos and memories. As he sets off to retrace his steps, Summer Spellman and Bernie Winter are horrified to discover Paul unresponsive on the sofa, struggling to breathe.

Summer calls an ambulance but realising that Billy has left Paul at the worst possible time, with no way of contacting him, Bernie and Summer do everything they can to keep Paul alive. With the odds against him, will Billy make it in time to say his final goodbye to Paul?

Later, Billy wakes up on the sofa and stares at Paul’s empty wheelchair and is hit with the sad reality that life now goes on without Paul. Tensions are high between the family as they grieve the loss of Paul. Can they all come together to plan Paul’s funeral?

Meanwhile, Tyrone Dobbs fills Fiz Dobbs in that the people traffickers have been arrested, Alina Pop has come out of hiding and will be picking up her and Tyrone’s son, Dorin, tomorrow.

Later, Tyrone’s upset as he watches daughters Hope and Ruby enthuse about their little brother, knowing that they might not see Dorin again. Soon after, Alina confirms they will be leaving for Romania tomorrow but as Tyrone opens the backdoor to call Ruby and Dorin in, he’s horrified to find the backyard empty.

Elsewhere, after weeks of trying to keep Rowan Cunliffe and his blackmail tactics at bay, Nick Tilsley finally decides to go to the police with all the information he has about The Institute mentor who has been behind his partner Leanne Battersby’s changes in recent times.

Speaking of the money and Amy Barlow tells her grandfather Ken she’s going to have to work more hours if she’s ever to replace her £40k inheritance and Ken feels guilty knowing that he could help. When Cassie Plummer arrives, Ken tells her about his premium bond win and how he’s thinking of giving the money to Amy. Will Cassie change Ken’s mind?

Back to the consequences of Nick’s actions and over a frosty breakfast, Sam Blakeman urges both Leanne and Toyah to forget Nick ever existed and remember that they’re sisters. But it’s not long before Nick calls at the flat with news about Rowan. Will it be more bad news?

Also, DS Lisa Swain and Carla Connor are in deep conversation outside the station, Lisa’s daughter Betsy approaches and insinuates there’s more to their relationship than meets the eye.

Later, Lisa informs Dee-Dee Bailey that Joel Deering’s work phone showed some text message exchanges with a female and she’s going to follow it up. PC Craig Tinker agrees to help track down Ellie, the contact from Joel’s phone, but is warned that nobody must find out or they could lose their jobs. Craig finds Ellie’s address, but will she want to talk to Lisa?
