The trouble for the Platts is ramping up in Coronation Street next week as David’s decision to take the money belonging to Harvey Gaskell continues to haunt him.

After David the dog was ran over, in upcoming scenes, Shona leaves the house, unaware that a man in a van is watching her as the van drives off at high speed. Shona’s mobile phone lies in the gutter. In the back of the van, Shona bangs on doors and shouts for help, but nobody hears her.

Meanwhile, David calls in the café and is shocked to discover Shona didn’t show up for work. David calls at the police station in a panic and tells Kit that first the dog was run over and now Shona has gone missing and he suspects Harvey is behind it.

Later, David asserts that he’ll find somewhere else to stay as Harvey’s more likely to come after him. David then calls at Nick Tilsley’s flat and admits that unless he can come up with the money for Harvey, his whole family is in danger.

Trying to put an end to what he believes is Harvey’s reign of terror and realising that the only way he can raise the cash to pay Harvey back is to get rid of the house, David meets up with Andy Garland, who he met in prison, and tells him he desperately needs a favour.

When Kevin offers to pick up Alfie from the childminder, Abi looks at him aghast. Debbie shares her concerns over Abi’s mental state with Ronnie Bailey and how she’s worried for Alfie’s safety and soon after, Abi is shocked to find Kevin seated at the table with a social worker and is left furious, sure that Debbie reported her.

Meanwhile, a mortified Leanne Battersby is forced to wear a high vis jacket and pick up litter whilst having to deal with teenagers heckling her. Annoyed, she storms into the ‘bistro and demands Toyah Habeeb pours her a glass of champagne which is where Nick finds her when he arrives with Sam Blakeman.

Later, Steve finds a downcast Leanne brooding over a cup of tea in the café and invites her to pop over to No.1 later for a drink. As Amy gets ready to leave for a party, she warns Steve to keep his misgivings about Cassie to himself or he might find himself homeless. Amy arrives at the party venue and is shocked to come face to face with Aaron’s Dad, Eric.
