Coronation Street fans are convinced that Kit Green is somehow linked to dodgy newcomer Sid on the ITV soap after he covered up a crime for him on during a recent episode
Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve cracked the mystery surrounding Kit Green’s suspicious connection to shady character Sid on the popular ITV soap.
During Monday (August 5) night’s episode, viewers were once again left questioning Kit’s intentions. Despite being a detective, he seems more interested in stirring up trouble than solving crimes. He’s been seen planting evidence and causing chaos since his arrival on the cobbles, often covering up his tracks.
In a strange twist, he helped Beth Tinker get away with selling fake t-shirts to Sid, even though he and her son Craig Tinker had caught her red-handed. After a bit of banter, Kit declared there was no crime committed and allowed them to leave with the counterfeit goods.
Later, he met Sid in a secluded alleyway with a proposition. Sid was initially wary, thinking it was a set-up, especially when Kit mentioned a surveillance team nearby, reports the Mirror.
Kit then returned the fake t-shirts to Sid, oddly giving him permission to sell them despite their illegal nature. However, he did demand a 50% cut of the profits. Sid was left puzzled, wondering if Kit was playing games, but Kit assured him they would be in contact.
Viewers are convinced there’s more to this story and suspect a secret connection between Kit and Sid. They speculate that this could explain why Kit is aiding Sid in his dodgy dealings.
As the pair sealed their agreement, Kit hinted at future interactions. This led some fans to theorise that Sid might actually be the real Kit Green, suggesting the possibility of an impostor in their midst.
Fans are buzzing with theories that Kit might be a wolf in sheep’s clothing, masquerading as someone else entirely. Social media is ablaze with speculation, with one viewer tweeting: “Maybe that’s the real Kit? ” Another chimed in with: “Exactly something is suspicious I don’t believe the one we know is the real one,” and yet another adding fuel to the fire: “You maybe right.”
Will the true face of Kit be revealed or will his deceptions remain shrouded in mystery?\
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
