Coronation Street fans are convinced they have worked out who really killed Lisa Swain’s wife Becky – and it wasn’t Matty and Logan

Coronation Street viewers believe they’ve figured out the ‘true’ identity of the person responsible for the death of Lisa Swain’s wife Becky, and it wasn’t Mason’s siblings. Lisa (played by Vicky Myers) first appeared on the popular soap in 2021, with her mischievous daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) making her debut earlier this year.

Although she has never been seen on screen, Lisa’s wife and fellow police officer, Becky, tragically died while on duty. As per Lisa’s account, Becky was pursuing a suspect who jumped into a getaway car and fatally struck her, causing her to die at the scene. In the midst of Lisa’s blossoming romance with Carla Connor (Alison King), she made a startling revelation about her wife’s death last month: that the thuggish brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge) were implicated.

Earlier this month, their other brother, Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), decided to assist Lisa in bringing his malevolent brothers to justice. Lisa showed Mason crime scene photos from the fatal incident involving her late wife Becky, reports Lancs Live.

She revealed that his brothers Matty and Logan were driving the car that hit Becky, prompting Mason to take action. Despite obtaining a piece of evidence leading to his brothers’ arrest, the siblings were released from jail as the evidence was insufficient to hold them.

The situation took a chilling turn when Matty and Logan pursued Mason and stabbed him, resulting in his death. Matty has since been arrested and is likely to be charged with Mason’s murder, while Logan is currently evading capture.

In an unexpected turn of events, Coronation Street fans are beginning to suspect that Mason’s brothers may not be Becky’s killers. Instead, speculation is rife among viewers that someone much closer to Lisa could be the culprit.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan group, theories are circulating that the corrupt policeman Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, might have been involved in Becky’s demise. Since his arrival on the street last year, Kit has been a source of continuous trouble.

One fan speculated: “I’m now thinking BECKY Lisa’s ex was 100% onto Kit’s dodgy dealings and bent copper antics and had evidence to bring him down, so he killed her,”. Echoing this sentiment, another commented: “Yep, I thought the same.”

Meanwhile, another viewer suggested a clue lies in a past interaction: “Kit said to Lisa in an earlier episode that Becky was one of the best. So he must know her.” The fan theories continued to grow as another person exclaimed: “Yes! What a theory!”
