Coronation Street fans have been issued a stern warning by soap guru Sharon Marshall about mysterious Kit Green and what he could be getting up to next in Weatherfield
Coronation Street fans have been given a serious heads-up about the mysterious Kit Green and the potential havoc he could wreak in Weatherfield.
The resident ‘Soap Expert’ of This Morning, Sharon Marshall, returned to the iconic blue sofa on Wednesday (August 14) to share upcoming storylines for fans of Hollyoaks, Corrie, EastEnders, and Emmerdale.
Sharon said: “Over in Coronation Street, keep an eye on Kit. The mysterious Kit. He’s eaten up with his resentment. Let’s have a look at this clip as we talk.”
A video was shown featuring Kit visiting his terminally ill brother Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), who is soon to say goodbye to the cobbles following his devastating Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis.
Sharon went on: “Here he is with his brother, here. He’s a man of mystery is Kit. He’s charming but he’s calculated. He’s got this resentment over his mother but his brother here is trying to say ‘look, forgive her. He [Paul] starts kind of choking here as well, so it’s can Kit help his brother and save him? “, reports the Express.
Kit was recently unveiled as Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazelgrove) long-lost son, but he had no intention of reuniting with her due to the pain he felt from being put up for adoption.
However, the family dynamics took a turn due to Paul’s intervention. Using his Eyegaze machine, he gathered everyone and expressed his need for unity, including from Kit, as he was dying and didn’t want any discord in his final days.
This heartfelt plea led Bernie and Paul’s twin Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) to reconcile and leave their differences behind. However, Kit, although agreeing, wasn’t ready for the family embrace just yet.
In the forthcoming episodes, Kit moves into Glenda Shuttleworth’s (Jodie Prenger) former room at the pub, realising it’s a hub of gossip, which suits him well. Later, Paul arranges a family dinner, but is disheartened when Kit doesn’t show up.
During the week, Kit pays a visit to Paul, who plays him a message urging him to forgive Bernie for the family’s sake. A defiant Kit refuses, but when Paul suddenly struggles to breathe, Kit is thrown into a panic. What will happen next?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
