Coronation Street Kate Ford ‘reveals Tracy’s real plan for Rob’ ahead of exit

Rob Donovan’s return to Coronation Street, while temporary, has been rather dramatic, and with a siege on the way and an escape plan, will Tracy Barlow bring him down?

Tracy Barlow actress Kate Ford has warned Coronation Street fans what could be ahead amid a twist with killer Rob Donovan.

But might Tracy be about to con the villain, as spoilers suggest she could help him to flee? There’s a terrifying siege on the way as Rob takes drastic action to evade the police.

Soon enough armed officers swarm in, and there’s fears a death could be on the cards. Corrie boss Kate Brooks told The Mirror weeks ago that Rob’s dramatic comeback, which saw him escape prison and hold his sister Carla Connor hostage, was only ever going to be short-term.

He was back for a large stint and no more, meaning an exit is definitely on the cards very soon. But will it end in tragedy after a trailer revealed a siege twist?

New spoilers have teased the lead-up, as Tracy comes face-to-face with the killer ex she has not seen in years. It seems she harbours the criminal at her home and does what she can to help him get away, with him begging her to help.

But could Tracy actually be setting him up for once and for all, and is she really planning on dropping him in it? Kate has teased what Tracy’s real plan is, and how far she could go.

She revealed: “She’s still got a bit of a soft spot for him, so she does let him come into the house without much persuasion. But she is shocked to see him, she can’t believe it. She doesn’t want to get involved in it, but she just feels bad that she’s not helping him because at a time they were in love.

“She says I’ll do this for you for one night but that’s it. However then he starts to want more and to stay longer and that starts to really stress her out. I think she’s moved on, any feelings for him are long gone.”

So when Rob asks Tracy to leave with him wanting to start a new life on the run, will she give up everything and agree? Or might she be the one that sees him sent back to prison?

Kate went on: “She says to him so many times, I’m not going back to prison for you, you’ve got to leave. Then the more he resists, the more panicky she starts to get about being caught out rather than being afraid of him.

“She really loved Rob but so much happened there to take that away.” So it seems Tracy won’t be keen to run away with Rob and realising he desperately needs a hospital, she might end up betraying him.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
