Coronation Street fans are convinced they know how Dee Dee’s pregnancy will proceed after a bombshell on the ITV soap
Coronation Street has revealed a heartbreaking turn of events for Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), as her baby Frankie requires further medical care. Last week, the prematurely born Frankie was rushed back to hospital after his paternal grandparents, Gus (Chris Garner) and Anthea Deering (Carol Royle), discovered bruising on his body.
Despite initial accusations of abuse against Lauren, doctors quickly determined that the bruises weren’t caused by external harm, but suggested Frankie might be ill. On Monday (December 16), Lauren broke the news to boyfriend Max Turner (Paddy Bever) that Frankie’s blood tests had returned, indicating the possibility of leukaemia or severe aplastic anaemia.
Even if diagnosed with the latter, Frankie could require a bone marrow transplant, with a biopsy scheduled, but first, he needed a blood transfusion.

Lauren was adamant about being a donor for her son, but a review of her medical history revealed she had Hepatitis C when she was 13, making her ineligible to donate due to residual antibodies.
In the meantime, Gus and Anthea appeared at the hospital, expressing their desire to reconcile with Lauren and offer assistance. Lauren dismissed them, but was crushed by her inability to help Frankie herself, leading her to contemplate whether Gus and Anthea might be right, reports Lancs Live.
Max desperately attempted to reassure Lauren of her strength, but with the daunting possibility of facing a life sentence for the murder of Joel (played by Calum Lill), Lauren is beginning to believe her son Frankie might be better off in the care of his grandparents.

In another twist, Dee-Dee Bailey (portrayed by Channique Sterling-Brown) wrestled with the decision over whether to terminate her pregnancy, clarifying that her hesitation wasn’t solely because Joel was the father.
Amidst her contemplation, as Dee-Dee sat at her kitchen table seeking divine intervention, her phone rang with news from Max that Frankie was gravely ill and could potentially need a bone marrow transplant, a revelation that left Dee-Dee reeling.
Coronation Street viewers are now abuzz with speculation that Dee-Dee will carry her pregnancy to term in hopes of the child being a suitable bone marrow donor for their half-sibling Frankie. Fans have been airing their theories online, with one fan speculating on platform X, positing: “I wonder if Dee Dee will keep her baby and hope it’s a match for Frankie. #Corrie.”
