Coronation Street fans have a theory that a scene might have confirmed a triple exit, and that Daisy Midgeley may reconcile with Daniel Osbourne on the ITV soap

Some Coronation Street fans think they’ve worked out another exit twist, and who Daisy Midgeley will end up with on the ITV soap.

The character recently learned she was pregnant, but did not know who the father was after her romance with Kit Green and her fling with her ex Daniel Osbourne. Upcoming scenes will see her finally learn the truth as the results of a DNA test are revealed.

But Daisy deletes the results and keeps the news to herself, vowing never to spill the beans to Daniel or Kit, keen to raise the baby on her own. Ahead of Daisy leaving the show, with actress Charlotte Jordan quitting the role after four years, a new scene has left fans speculating a twist.

Something Daisy commented to Daniel in a scene, from Wednesday’s episode that has released early on ITVX, left fans wondering if there was a bit of foreshadowing going on. Daisy comments to Daniel about whether he should move away with fiancée Bethany Platt to London after her job offer.

Referring to his young son Bertie, Daisy advises him, ahead of the DNA results coming in, that he might be better off making the move for his and Bertie’s sake. She doesn’t want Daniel to stay for her sake, after he previously said he would step up and help if the baby turned out to be his child.

In the scene she talks to him, and then says: “Besides, you don’t want to be saddled with a kid in Weatherfield.” While this was Daisy giving Daniel her blessing to leave her behind, some fans are predicting it might be a major clue as to what happens later down the line.

Knowing that Daisy is leaving the ITV soap and therefore will be moving away from the street, fans wondered if the “raising a child” away from Weatherfield comment might have been a glimpse of her future. They also wondered whether it could seal a triple exit, and whether it’s a sign that Daniel and Bertie will move away with Daisy before or after the baby is born.

Taking to X, one viewer theorised: “What if I said this is foreshadowing them moving away together (i’m delusional).” Another viewer posted: “I see no delusion here, only cold hard facts.”

The DNA results will come in later this week, and when it comes through on her phone she looks awkwardly at it, clearly thoughtful about what she now knows. She then admits to Jenny that Daniel’s tests results have come through, with said message confirming whether or not Daniel is the father.

Jenny races over to see the result and asks Daisy whether it’s Daniel. But Daisy’s facial expression doesn’t really give anything away, but it certainly leaves Jenny convinced it’s Kit who is the dad.

After Jenny asks about Daniel, Daisy says nothing at all and pulls a face, leading to Jenny declaring: “It’s Kit’s?” Again, Daisy says nothing initially but keeps the same expression on her face.

She then tells Jenny that she will not be revealing the result to her or anyone, and only she knows the truth. She says: “It doesn’t matter. I’ve deleted it. I don’t think Daniel or Kit are good enough to be the dad.

“I’m the mother so that’s all that matters.” Jenny urges her to rethink this, telling her she can’t do this alone and that both men will be asking questions. But Daisy keeps it to herself, refusing to announce the identity of the dad..
