Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ identity of mystery man in the van – and it’s very unexpected

Coronation Street fans think they’ve worked out the identity of Chesney Brown’s (Sam Aston) mysterious van stalker – and it is someone unexpected.

Since last month, Chesney has been involved in a silent battle with the driver of a silver van, though their identity is still unknown.

It all started when the driver cut Chesney up for a car parking space, so Chesney blocked him in.

Unfortunately for Ches, the van driver manoeuvred their way out of the tight space, damaging his car in the process.

Over the past few weeks, Chesney has continued to see the van parked outside his house, and in recent scenes poured sugar into the petrol tank to get his revenge.

Chesney has a lot going on at the moment, following the suspicious death of Les Battersby at work.

During his wake, Chesney was approached by one of Les’ work colleagues, who revealed that there was more to Les’ death than the abattoir were letting on.

With the company having offered Chesney, Toyah and Leanne Battersby (Georgia Taylor and Jane Danson) a share of £60,000 in exchange for signing an NDA, Chesney grew concerned and refused to play ball.

Now, fans are wondering if the person in the van is somehow connected to Les’ death – or maybe even Les himself.

‘Hang on. They had the will before the funeral? You’re right this doesn’t make any sense. Are we sure Les isn’t van man?’ One fan questioned on Twitter/X.

‘Imagine if Les is the van guy, turns up on Christmas Eve at midnight, and Chesney thinks he’s being visited by three ghosts during the middle of the night,’ another added.

‘Wonder if the person in the van is Cilla or Les,’ a third said.

It is well known in soap that you can’t really be sure that a character is dead if you haven’t seen the body, so could the same be true for Les?
