Coronation Street fans surprised over off-screen ‘twin’ update for Hope and Joseph stars

Isabella and William Flanagan’s family were marking a milestone this week

Coronation Street fans have shared their disbelief at an update from the show’s Hope Dobbs and Jospeh Brown stars. Isabella and William Flanagan’s family were marking a milestone this week.

Isabella is best known for playing Hope, the daughter of Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs, in the ITV soap having joined back in August 2017, taking over the role from twins Faith and Nicole Holt, who made their final appearances the previous April.

Meanwhile, her twin brother William plays her on-screen cousin Joseph, the son of Chesney Brown and stepson of Gemma Winter-Brown. He has played the character since he was reintroduced in October 2017 with the role having previously been played by Lucca-Owen Warwick.

Chris and Rachel Flanagan are the twins’ proud parents and are often sharing updates on social media about their soap star children, including eldest daughter Amelia who stars as April Windsor in Emmerdale.

On Thursday (August 8), the parents took to Instagram to reveal it has been seven years since William joined his sister on the famous cobbles. They shared a snap of the twins as youngsters and more recently, they wrote in the caption: “7 years ago Will Joined his twin sister on the cobbles.”

And fans were quick to respond. @fanoftelevision said: “Wow 7 years already that’s flown, such talented children you have they’re all doing a great job.” @teresajtaylortj commented: “Brilliant.. You have three talented children.”

@marieann_lauder wrote: “Oh wow oh my goodness.” @lesleywagner posted: “Oh how precious, look how little!!!!!!!!” @leisa.bailey_72 added: “You must be super proud parents to have 3 little soap stars.”
