Coronation Street fans are convinced they have spotted a picture of DS Lisa Swain’s wife Becky on the ITV soap

Coronation Street fans were left open-mouthed after spotting DS Lisa Swain’s late wife Becky in the ITV drama. Lisa, played by Vicky Myers, first appeared on the show in 2021, with her mischievous daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) making her debut earlier this year. Not much is known about Lisa’s history, except that her wife and fellow police officer, Becky, was tragically killed in the line of duty.

According to Lisa, Becky was pursuing a suspect who jumped into a getaway vehicle and fatally struck her down at the scene. Amid Lisa’s budding romance with Carla Connor (Alison King), she made a startling revelation about her wife’s death last month: the culprits were thug brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge).

Last week, their other brother Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) decided to assist Lisa in bringing his wicked brothers to justice. Lisa showed Mason crime scene photos from the day of Becky’s tragic death, reports Lancs Live.

She revealed that his brothers Matty and Logan were driving the car that hit Becky, prompting Mason to act. Despite obtaining a piece of evidence leading to his brothers’ arrest, they were released from jail as the evidence wasn’t sufficient to hold them. The situation took a chilling turn when Matty and Logan pursued Mason and stabbed him, resulting in Mason’s subsequent death.

In the midst of all the current drama, viewers were left completely stunned during a recent episode after catching a glimpse of what appeared to be Becky on the show. On the broadcast from January 8, as Betsy and Lisa had a conversation in the police station, the camera moved and allowed eagle-eyed fans to spot something intriguing on Lisa’s desk.

A photo captured their attention, showing a woman with dark hair holding a little one – and viewers are certain that it’s indeed Becky depicted there. Over on a Coronation Street fan page on Facebook, an observant viewer posted: “Did anyone else notice the photo on Lisa’s desk what looked like it could be Betsy and her mum Becky?”

Echoing the sentiment, another wrote: “Yes it’s Becky and baby Betsy. Clearly Lisa has a type she likes. I love Swarla.” A third contributed: “Such a cute picture. She definitely looks like Carla! ” While yet another stated: “Yes I noticed that.”
