The Bistro owner was seen rescuing his girlfriend Toyah Habeeb from the burning home after she was attacked by a troubled Abi Webster
Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a ‘blunder’ from Nick Tilsley as they were left distracted by his actions during a horror fire which destroyed his family’s home.
The Bistro owner was seen rescuing his girlfriend Toyah Habeeb from the burning home after she was attacked by a troubled Abi Webster inside the house before it was set alight.
Amid Sarah Platt’s birthday celebrations at the Bistro, Toyah discovered Hope Dobbs, Sam Blakeman, Ruby Dobbs and Lily Platt holding a séance at the Platts’ because of a live stream Harry was watching. She headed over and quickly ordered them out but before she got chance to leave, she was angrily confronted by Abi for her call to social services.
With Abi suffering flashbacks and hallucinations having watched Mason Radcliffe die after being stabbed, she experienced another and when Toyah touched her shoulder, Abi knocked her down, Toyah was left unconscious with a head injury but panicked, Abi fled the scene and tried to cover her tracks.
With Abi having left, a soaked rag was posted through the door of No.8, along with some lit matches. Shona was soon alerted to the fire as it quickly took hold and, fearing Lily was in the house, she and Max headed inside with Nick Tilsley, who was left rescuing an unconscious Toyah and bringing her out onto the street.
Shona and Max were then left trapped inside and while Shona managed to escape, with a horrified David waiting on the other side, Max was seemingly left stuck as the house exploded.

But Corrie fans couldn’t help call out Nick for encouraging Shona and Nick to search upstairs despite the blaze growing in size and ferocity. @PinkRoxas said: “Clearly Nick wanted to get rid of Shona and Max, sending them upstairs in a burning house…as he took 3-5 business days to get Toyah out #corrie.”
@fussyMcWhiskers commented: “#Corrie Nick – sending Shona & Max upstairs in a house fire & then taking 3 hours dithering with Toyah in his arms before going out the door!” @twisty_skylar posted: “Why did Nick lead Shona & Max inside , tell them to go upstairs then just leave them to die… #Corrie.”
@moonstarfem wrote: “Nick telling Shona to go upstairs was messed up, absolutely ridiculous #corrie.” @CoHesl posted: “The f**k is Nick doing sending them upstairs in all that #corrie.” @lindycarpo added: “Okay, Nick comes in and (eventually) drags Toyah out, but only AFTER sending 2 people upstairs in a burning building #Corrie.”
