Coronation Street fans think they have spotted an ‘intentional’ move around DS Lisa Swain as they ‘at last’ got a glimpse of her former partner Becky.

Earlier in 2024, viewers of the ITV soap discovered that Lisa’s late partner was killed in the line of duty. The pair share a daughter, Betsy, who arrived in Weatherfield over the summer, and it’s been clear in recent months that Lisa and the teen’s relationship hasn’t been perfect since Becky’s death.

The mother and daughter are now having to put on a united front as Lisa continues to investigate leads into Becky’s death, which may have had a role in leading to Betsy’s boyfriend Mason Radcliffe’s death.

Corrie fans have recently watched Mason trying to turn things around after he was eventually served justice for his cruel bullying campaign against Liam Connor last year. But he’s struggled to escape his brothers – Matty and Logan – who have been determined to cause havoc on the cobbles, and not just for Mason.

While he’s faced beatings at their hands on multiple occasions, things quickly escalated when DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) showed Mason photographs taken at the crime scene of her late partner Becky’s death and revealed that his brothers were behind the murder.

Determined to take his brothers down, Mason searched their flat and found a WWII helmet, matched to the one listed in Becky’s case file, and handed it into the police station. After being questioned by DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), the brothers went looking for Mason intent on brutal revenge.

Matty and Logan attacked Mason and Dylan as Mason tried to retrieve some family photos from their flat to take with him to Germany after accepting a job offer from Stu Carpenter. While they weren’t carrying a knife, a terrified Dylan Wilson tried to protect his pal, only for his decision to end in Mason’s horrifying death.

During Wednesday night’s (January 8) trip to Weatherfield, Lisa was seen back at the station as she and DC Kit Green tried to get to the bottom of what happened in the stabbing with Matty and Logan still at large. But Corrie fans couldn’t help but be distracted by a ‘Becky sighting’.
