Coronation Street fans speechless as they discover Daisy actress’ racy TV role before cobbles

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan is best known for playing Daisy Midgeley – but her previous TV role couldn’t be more different from the Weatherfield barmaid

Coronation Street fans were stunned to uncover Charlotte Jordan’s risqué television history, a stark contrast to her portrayal of Daisy Midgeley.

Charlotte became a household name as the barmaid Daisy on the ITV soap, first appearing in 2020. As Jenny Connor’s (played by Sally Ann Matthews) stepdaughter, she quickly won over viewers.

Throughout her tenure, Daisy has been central to numerous major plots, including a distressing acid attack and startling romantic entanglements. Her journey in Weatherfield has been anything but dull.

In recent episodes, Daisy faced a devastating ordeal when she was hit by a car while pregnant, leading to the loss of her baby. Additionally, her relationship with Jenny is strained.

Jenny inadvertently revealed that Daniel Osbourne (portrayed by Rob Mallard) wasn’t the father of Daisy’s child – the real father being Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). Earlier this year, Charlotte announced her departure from the show.

She expressed a desire to explore new opportunities and stating she will “always cherish” her time on the soap, reports Leicestershire Live. Before joining Corrie, Charlotte had roles in The Bill and Netflix’s Free Rein.

She starred as a stripper in BBC’s Casualty

However, it’s her earlier provocative part that’s currently causing a buzz. In 2016, she appeared on BBC’s Casualty as Lisa ‘Sambuca’ Nichols, a stripper who, after hospital tests, discovers she’s pregnant.

Fans were stunned to discover Charlotte’s appearance on Casualty, with one viewer posting a photo of her on the show to Facebook, commenting: “Was watching an episode of Casualty from 2016 the other day and Charlotte Jordan Daisy was playing a pole dancer.”

The comments section quickly filled with fans expressing their surprise. One fan humorously remarked: “THUMP…. Sorry I just fell off my chair… swoon!” Another added in agreement: “I didn’t know that.” A different fan joked: “Ken might have a heart attack if he saw Daisy doing that in the rovers.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
