Coronation Street fans think they have ‘outed’ an upcoming pregnancy twist as they try and work out what’s to come for the show’s hottest couple, Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain.
The drama for the new partnership is not yet over as fans know then they both find themselves in danger in upcoming scenes. As fans know, an unexpected decline in Carla’s health at the start of the year set off a chain of unexpected events that has seen her brother Rob Donovan back in her life.
After not wanting her family to consider being donors after it was confirmed she’d need another kidney transplant, Rob was approached by his son, Bobby Crawford, who encouraged him to help his older sister as her life hung in the balance.
While he originally pushed back over Bobby’s request, Rob later agreed to be tested but his true motives were made clear. Fast forward to being confirmed as a match and undergoing the operation, Carla was woken from her recovery by prison officer Mandy, who believed she was in a loving relationship with Rob, when really it was all for his own gain as he plotted to escape prison.
The drama eventually saw Rob use Lisa to get to the abandoned office block where Mandy was waiting with a poorly Carla, before attacking her as she secretly tried to call her colleague DC Kit Green. In the end, with Mandy gone, Carla found the energy to push her brother down the stairs, and a weakened Rob fell over the balcony.
Lisa then appeared to find him at the bottom. She declared him dead and focused on getting Carla back to hospital, with Kit’s help. But when the detective constable later returned to the scene, he was informed that Rob must have been alive as he was gone and he’ll soon return to Weatherfield for one final confrontation with the couple.

The murderer, who is currently on the run, will make his way back onto the Street where he’ll seek out Carla and demand she helps him escape after she thought she left him for dead in scenes aired last month.
As armed police surround the house, it is revealed Carla isn’t alone, with a trailer showing Lisa by her partner’s side. But will they escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man?
Since the reveal of the dramatic scenes ahead, Corrie fans have been trying to suss out from spoilers how things may play out – and amidst the siege drama, suspicions around a surprise pregnancy have emerged for Betsy Swain.
