Coronation Street fans were left doing a double take as they thought they read that David Platt will be revealed as the father of her unborn baby in what would be an unexpected twist.
As fans of the ITV soap know, Daisy got a Christmas surprise when she discovered she was pregnant. The problem was, however, is that she doesn’t know who the dad.
The barmaid and Rovers Return co-owner had recently started seeing DC Kit Green amidst having a one-night-stand with her former fiancé Daniel Osbourne.
Both men have since found out she’s pregnant with the wider Weatherfield community also in the know after the mum-to-be announced the news to a busy Rovers.
Daisy later decided to get a DNA test, but after receiving the results last month, she has been keeping them a secret from everyone. She told Jenny that it was irrelevant who the father is before Daisy deleted the email, insisting the result will remain unknown.
While anything can happen in soap land, it was just a skim reading error after Corrie shared a post on social media with a tease for what’s coming up next week on the cobbles.
Alongside pictures of some of the scenes which will hit screens in the upcoming episodes, a message read: “Next week on the Cobbles: Ken collapses in pain, Daisy reveals who the Father of her baby is and is David in too deep? Read more on our website (link in bio!) #Corrie.”

It comes after Wednesday night’s (February 19) trip to Weatherfield saw Daniel told he is the father of Daisy’s unborn child. It was Jenny who seemingly confirmed the paternity of Daisy’s unborn child. Amid reunion hopes for Daisy and Daniel, she assumed that he was the father.
She told Daniel that Diasy was worried about him only wanting to get back with her because of the baby, leaving him confused. He asked her: “Do you know something? Jenny, is the baby mine?” She then leaned in and said: “You didn’t hear it from me,” before they exchanged telling smiles.
But Corrie fans think this will mean that Kit will turn out to the father and with Daisy’s 12-week scan ahead, some thing she could get a shock of expecting twins.
