Coronation Street actress Vicky Myers, who has played DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap since 2021, has a surprising connection to Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre

Coronation Street fans have been left stunned after discovering a surprising link between actress Vicky Myers and pop star Peter Andre.

Vicky, who plays DS Lisa Swain on the ITV soap, has been involved in several major storylines since her debut in 2021. From solving crimes to becoming a murder suspect herself, Lisa’s time on the cobbles has been anything but dull.

She’s also embarked on a new romance with soap icon Carla Connor (Alison King). Before joining Coronation Street, Vicky had roles in Ackley Bridge, Casualty, The Long Shadow in 2023, and BBC One’s Age Before Beauty alongside Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley.

However, it’s her unexpected connection with Peter Andre that has left fans gobsmacked. In 2015, Vicky starred with the Mysterious Girl singer in an Iceland advert, leaving her character swooning over the TV star.

Fans have been sharing the clip online, with one saying: “Crying,” another adding: “My mind is actually blown.” And a third exclaiming: “As if that’s Lisa from Corrie!”, reports Plymouth Live.

Away from Coronation Street, Vicky is a mother to her teenage daughter Meghan. However, in 2010, she was hit with a devastating double blow when she was diagnosed with cancer the same year as her challenging separation from her husband.

“I don’t know if it’s my previous medical history, but I am so proud to be here and just to be living each day to the full,” Vicky has previously expressed.

Fans have been left floored

“When my husband and I split up, I was quite down, bitter and vengeful, and when I was told I had [cancer], I remember thinking, ‘If this is it for me, I’ve missed out on all this time with my daughter and I haven’t really been the best person that I wanted to be.’

“The diagnosis re-centred me and made me focus on what is really important and what makes me happy. Now, every time I go into work and see the Coronation Street sign, it’s quite overwhelming.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
