Daniel Osbourne has been led to believe he is the father of Daisy Midgeley’s unborn baby
Coronation Street fans were left making the same complaint about Daniel Osbourne as he was led to believe he is the father of Daisy Midgeley’s unborn baby.
Fans of the ITV soap know that Daniel and Daisy split after Daniel discovered his fiancee had been cheating on her with Ryan Connor.
The pair had become emotionally bonded through the shared trauma of being the victims of an acid attack in the Rovers Return on Daisy’s wedding day, with the shocking assault carried out by Daisy’s stalker, Justin Rutherford.
Daniel couldn’t forgive Daisy and shortly after her affair with Ryan was exposed, Bethany Platt returned to Weatherfield and the pair rekindled their former romance while Daisy tried to give a relationship a go with Ryan.
Daisy and Ryan later split as the latter realised his girlfriend was still in love with her ex, and while Daisy confessed her feelings to Daniel, he chose Bethany.
But, the former engaged couple did sleep together late last year, while Daniel was still with Bethany and Daisy was now embarking on a fling with Kit Green.
Daisy was then given a surprise on Christmas Day as she was seen glancing down at a positive pregnancy test while sitting on the stairs in the back of the pub, where she lives with her former step-mum and pub co-owner Jenny Connor.
While she shared the news with Jenny, Daisy wasn’t able to confirm who the father was. Daisy later decided to get a DNA test, but after receiving the results last month, she has been keeping them a secret from everyone.

She told Jenny that it was irrelevant who the father is before Daisy deleted the email, insisting the result will remain unknown. But last week, it was Jenny who seemingly confirmed the paternity of Daisy’s unborn child. Amid reunion hopes for Daisy and Daniel, she assumed that he was the father.
It was then during Monday night’s (February 24) Corrie that viewers saw the lie snowball. Daniel was quick to share his plans for the pair to reconcile as he knew Daisy was expecting his baby but shortly after, a guilt-ridden Daisy railed at Jenny as she confirmed it is Kit who is really the father.
But with Daniel getting excited about the baby news, it wasn’t long before his family was sharing the news openly in the Rovers for everyone to hear. They all started celebrating before an oblivious Kit interrupted and discovered he wasn’t the father – or so he’s been led to believe.
As Daisy tried to tell the truth, Daniel revealed that he had agreed with Jenny to buy the pub for them, so that they could pay back the money they owed Carla Connor. Seeing Daniel excited about the new baby and planning their future while also wanting to keep Carla off their back after a plea from Jenny, Daisy was later seen deciding to keep the baby’s real paternity a secret.
But Corrie fans ended up blaming Daniel for Daisy’s lie as they made the same observation. @emilierogers_ said: “Guys Daisy wants to tell Daniel but it’s hard to when he keeps interrupting her everytime she speaks and he just assumes what she’s going to say like shut up and let her speak.”
@pjv_theoutcast commented: “I so thought Daisy was gonna tell him but it was Daniel who would let her speak and make a speech that couldn’t have ruined by the truth.”
