Charlotte confirmed that she’d be leaving the ITV soap amid Daisy’s pregnancy news
Coronation Street fans think they ‘know’ how Daisy Midgeley will leave Weatherfield after it was presumed actress Charlotte Jordan has filmed her final scenes.
Fans will recall that the actress made her debut on the cobbles back in 2020 as Daisy, the former step-daughter of Jenny Connor. In that time, Charlotte has picked up awards for her portrayal of the character having been part of some of the show’s biggest storylines.
But in January, Charlotte confirmed that she’d be leaving the ITV soap. Former Netflix star Charlotte said in a statement at the time: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.
“After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities. It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.”
Daisy has recently found herself in a dilemma after discovering she was pregnant. While she shared the news at Christmas with Jenny, Daisy wasn’t able to confirm who the father was as she’d slept with her ex-fiance Daniel Osbourne and her new flame Kit Green.
Daisy later decided to get a DNA test, but after receiving the results last month, she has been keeping them a secret from everyone. She told Jenny that it was irrelevant who the father is before Daisy deleted the email, insisting the result will remain unknown.
But due to Jenny’s assumptions, Daisy is now lying to Daniel about him being the father of the unborn baby, with her confirming that they are, in fact, Kit’s biological child.
While Daisy carried on the lie, she’s currently at loggerheads with Jenny over the Rovers, after Daniel agreed to help them both pay Carla Connor back the money they stole following the death of serial killer Stephen Reid.
But in upcoming scenes, Daisy is set to be caught in the crossfire of a hit-and-run attempt, with David Platt also involved. As a drunk David stumbles into the road having been drinking in the Rovers, his wife Shona arrives just in time to see a car hurtling towards David.
Suddenly, Daisy appears and the car ploughs into both David and Daisy. Having heard the crash, Nick Tilsley, Sarah Platt, Daniel, Jenny and Kit fly out of the Rovers to find David and Daisy seriously injured.

Shona tends to David but it’s clear he’s bleeding to death as Kit calls an ambulance. Jenny and Daniel, meanwhile, rush to Daisy’s side and beg her to wake up while worried for her unborn baby.
Now, Corrie fans think Daisy being involved in the accident will seal her departure from Weatherfield. @DavidJosephLaw2 said: “I bet Daisy loses the baby when she gets run over and that’s how she leave the street. #Corrie.”
@elsiebee4079 suggested: “He’s not being killed off. It’s just a way to write Daisy out. The car hits her too.” @anniecarr1949 replied: “Yes but I don’t think she dies either. Maybe she’ll lose the baby.”
@griannedoherty added: “NOOO David, DON’T do it. Totally get he’s just desperately tryna protect his family but still it’s NOT just gona be him totally caught up in the crossfire unfortunately but poor Daisy & her unborn baby too tragically. If they die that’s on him too #Corrie.”
