Coronation Street fans demand reassurance in ‘please’ plea as they ‘rumble’ fire death – and it’s not Max

Fans of the ITV soap fear they have ‘rumbled’ who will die in a huge fire at the Platts’ home

Coronation Street fans have demanded some reassurance about the show’s upcoming scenes as they fear they have ‘rumbled’ who will die in a huge fire – and it’s not Max Turner.

Fans of the ITV soap are aware that actor Paddy Bever recently confirmed he’ll be bowing out of the show after playing the step-son of David Platt for just over three years.

He also confirmed he’d filmed his final scenes. The 22-year-old said in a statement to the Mirror: “After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max, and Coronation Street, to explore new opportunities. I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way.”

Paddy continued: “It’s been a great privilege to contribute to the legacy of such a well-loved and iconic show. This chapter has been unforgettable and while I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories.”

Fans were quick to ponder whether Max will fall victim to a huge fire set to break out in No.8 and with more details now released, while the prediction about Max’s tragic death still remains, some have another concern.

@VeronicaPullen asked: “Please tell us David the Dog will be ok?” @Dancingduck138 replied: “The TWO DAVIDS.” @jenlc92 commented: “David the dog [single tear crying emojis].” @janicecullum posted: “I hope David the dog is safe.”

And the latter comment clearly caught the attention of David actor Jack P Shepherd as he replied: “Errrrrm,” with a mouth zipped emoji.

It comes after new pictures have revealed the extent of what viewers will witness next week when the blaze burns through the street’s Number 8, destroying not only bricks and mortar but also the lives of David and Shona’s family, and those close to them.

Those watching will be left to wonder who the mysterious hooded figure we see pushing a petrol soaked rag through the letterbox of No. 8 is. And when the fire is proven to be arson some of the street’s best known residents start to feel the heat and find themselves forced to try and convince the police of their innocence.
