But amid reports of a ‘cast revolt’ due to the number of changes in the ITV soap’s cast, Corrie legend Andy Whymen took to social media to address reports about what’s going on behind the scenes as he denied any hint that the show’s stars are unhappy.

Now, following the latest trip to Weatherfield on Monday night (January 20), Corrie fans shared how they’d been delivered exactly what they needed in the form of new duo, Leanne Battersby and Tracy Barlow.

The unexpected pairing comes after Tracy was left furious with Leanne after she roped her daughter Amy Barlow into The Institute last year after she was brainwashed by mentor Rowan Cunliffe. But Tracy has seemingly been egging Leanne on to go back to her calculated ways after discovering her partner Nick Tilsley and sister Toyah Habeeb were having an affair.

During the latest episode of Corrie, Leanne was seen attempting to put things right with Amy by handing her a cheque for £12,000 and promised she’ll get the rest of what she lost to The Institute. Later, in the cafe, Tracy approached Leanne and pointed out that neither of them have any friends right now and suggested they ad some fun together.

They then headed to the Bistro where they splashed out by drinking the most expensive wine and ordering the priciest meal on the menu before refusing to pay at the end, much to Toyah’s annoyance. But Corrie fans were loving it.
