Coronation Street fans are ‘convinced’ who may find themselves as the victim of the horror fire that’s ripped through the Platt’s family home – and it’s not Max Turner.

As fans know, David Platt is currently in the bad books of notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell. It’s become clear in recent weeks that he is being sought out by Harvey’s thugs after taking money which belonged to him, after it was offered to David’s sister Sarah Platt by Harvey’s brother Damon Hay.

After recent incidents that seemed to be warnings from the gangster and his cronies, there were terrifying scenes in the ITV soap on Monday night (February 3) as No.8 Coronation Street ended up in flames.

Shona Platt and Max were seen heading to the estate agents, as selling the house felt like the last option available to be able to put a stop to Harvey. But unbeknownst to them, David asked former prison mate Andy for help and something didn’t quite seem right as he attended his sister Sarah’s birthday celebrations in the Rovers.

After they got bored at the party, Toyah Habeeb discovered Hope Dobbs, Sam Blakeman, Ruby Dobbs and Lily Platt holding a séance at the Platts’ and quickly ordered them out. But before she got chance to leave, she was angrily confronted by Toyah for her call to social services.

But with Abi suffering flashbacks and hallucinations having watched Mason Radcliffe struggle in the aftermath of being stabbed, she experienced another and when Toyah touched her shoulder, Abi knocked her down, leaving her unconscious, before fleeing.

Then, a rag was posted through the door, along with some lit matches. Shona was soon alerted to the fire as it quickly took hold and, fearing Lily was in the house, she and Max headed inside with Nick Tilsley, who was left rescuing an unconscious Toyah and brought her out onto the street.

But while those watching have been left to wonder about the identity of the mysterious hooded figure that was see pushing a petrol-soaked rag through the letterbox of No. 8, they think they may have worked out who perishes in the blaze, despite it not yet being known if there will be any fatalities as a result of the blaze.

@camjmes0 said: “Convinced Yasmeen’s lifeless body will be dragged out of her house tomorrow as they didn’t actually check that nobody was in her house. #Corrie.” @98kltk replied: “Sally was more bothered about her photos than poor Yasmeen next door.” @GoodWitchLuzara added: “Either Yasmeens dies in the fire or she goes to Germany to be with Stu, those are my guesses. Although, she didn’t seem too bothered about Stu when he left so why go to him now?”
