Coronation Street fans have said they ‘can’t unsee’ an editing ‘blunder’ during scenes between Betsy Swain and Carla Connor that also left them ‘sobbing’.

Fans of the ITV soap have known the couple have been in a relationship for a few months now after both struggled to admit their true feelings at first.
Their relationship still continues to face obstacles with Lisa’s busy work life and Carla’s ill health. But now they’re facing the threat of Carla’s brother Rob Donovan following his escape from prison, where he was behind bars for the murder of Tina McIntyre.
When Carla fell ill at the start of the year and it was confirmed she needed another kidney transplant after contracting sepsis, she made it clear that she didn’t want her family to be donors. However, her brother Rob was approached by his son, Bobby Crawford, who encouraged him to help his older sister as her life hung in the balance.
While he originally pushed back over Bobby’s request, Rob later agreed to be tested but his true motives were made clear. Fast forward to being confirmed as a match and undergoing the operation, Carla was woken from her recovery by prison officer Mandy, who believed she was in a loving relationship with Rob, when really it was all for his own gain as he plotted to escape prison.

Things came to a head as once Mandy, who confirmed she was pregnant with Rob’s baby, realised she had been used, she left and Rob tried to follow. But Carla mustered the strength to rush at him and sent him flying down the stairs to the ground.
DS Lisa Swain confirmed Rob to be dead and her main concern was getting Carla back to the hospital. But when the police eventually arrived at the scene, Rob was gone and he’s been on the run since.
A trailer has since been released that teases what’s to come on the cobbles in March, which has confirmed Rob’s shock return to the Street. He will return to Weatherfield to seek out his sister Carla and demand she helps him escape before an armed siege plays out.

But during Monday night’s (March 10) episode of Corrie, Rob’s presence wasn’t very much felt by Betsy. Lisa was thrown into panic when she found her teenage daughter’s bed hasn’t been slept in. Thankfully, Betsy soon returns home with nothing more serious than a hangover.
Lisa was quick to remind Betsy that with Rob still on the loose, it isn’t safe for Betsy to be going out alone. However, Betsy brushes off her concerns and headed out anyway. But once at the precinct, Betsy suddenly became aware that she was being followed.
She quick set out at speed to get away, but soon realised that she was being chased. It soon became clear that the man on her trail is none other than Rob and as she sped back onto the cobbles, she bumped straight into DC Kit Green before Carla witnessed her panic from across the Street and came rushing over.
And the scenes quickly left Corrie fans flocking to social media. @carlasbarlow said alongside a clip of the scene of Betsy running to Carla: “What if i sobbed.” @rubymiligan replied: “This scene is everything to me you don’t understand.”

Others, however, couldn’t help but spot a problem. @Swarla_LOML said: “Not to take away from this moment but it annoys me that when betsy first hugs carla, her arms are around her middle, then cuts to the other angle and they’re around carla’s shoulders. Poor editing and now i can’t un-see it.”
