It wasn’t clear where the character, played by Jacob Roberts, was living before he was found by his long-lost mother Bernie
Coronation Street fans have been left asking ‘what happened’ as Kit Green officially moved to Weatherfield. It wasn’t clear where the character, played by Jacob Roberts, was living before he was found by his long-lost mother Bernie.
Kit was first introduced to viewers of the ITV soap earlier this year after Bernie Winter went on a mission to track down the son she gave up. Following the surprise return of her ex Denny to see their dying son Paul Foreman, a comment about her past triggered Bernie to eventually admit to her partner Dev Alahan that she had given birth to a third child.
She went searching for the son, Zodiac, she gave up and when she found Kit, with her rifling through his draws after pretending to be a cleaner, he lied and said he wasn’t adopted but it was later confirmed that Bernie had found the son she gave up.
He’s since made things difficult for Bernie, even attempting to turn children Paul and Gemma Winter against her. But it’s not just family matters that are making Corrie fans suspicious of Kit.
They also know that he planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, for her disappearance and what was then her presumed murder, with the real culprit Joel Deering still at large.
But during Monday night’s (August 12) trip to Weatherfield, viewers saw Kit make his latest move. Glenda Shuttleworth was seen swooning over the newcomer as it was revealed he’d be moving into her old room at the Rovers Return.
However, the move caused confusion among viewers as they thought back to Kit’s plush-looking home from his first scenes and pointed out that he’s also bought Gemma and Chesney’s house on the street after they faced eviction by their landlord.
Taking to social media, @Talkytalky60 said: “Kit moving into the pub, what’s happened to his house when Bernie went for the cleaning job #corrie.” @parrswoodmikey1969 commented: “I’d like to know why Kit is renting a room at the Rovers, yet not that long ago when Bernie found him, he was living in a big detached house!! Oops.”
@_Rimal wrote: “Why is Kit moving into the Rovers when he’s got that house we first saw him living in? Plus he’s got enough money to buy Gemma’s house. It makes no sense! #Corrie.” But @mopedgirl2017 added: “He sold his house to buy Gemma and Chesneys. There are going to be control issues soon. Turn your backs on Bernie or I’ll sell the house….. or something along those lines.”
But some think it could lead to a shocking story, with @mikepriestley13 suggesting: “Kit moving into the rovers… how long till a potential siege as he is dodgy cop.. could be a storyline to look out for potentially maybe.. not heard out but could be interesting #Corrie.”
