Coronation Street’s Carla Connor and Lisa Swain finally slept together in racy scenes – but it looks like Carla might regret it
Coronation Street fans were thrilled as Carla Connor and Lisa Swain finally got together, but it seems there’s trouble on the horizon.
Viewers will remember how Carla (played by Alison King) was left devastated earlier this year. Her marriage to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) crumbled when he departed Weatherfield.
Since then, Carla has been drawn to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), growing closer during the investigation into Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Carla also gave a job at Underworld to Lisa’s daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), who is new to the soap.
Hints of a potential romance between Lisa and Carla sparked after an intense moment where Carla tenderly moved a lock of hair from Lisa’s face, only for Lisa to hastily make an excuse to leave.

However, with both women grappling with their feelings, this week saw a pivotal change for Carla and Lisa. Following Ryan’s (Ryan Prescott) counsel, Carla returned to her flat to find Lisa, who had crashed on the couch after a night of drinking, reports Plymouth Live.
In a bold move, Carla told Lisa not to bother dressing, approached her and initiated a kiss, which Lisa eagerly returned. Later, they stepped out of the bedroom, with Lisa convincing Carla to return for a second round.
After their intimate moments, the beloved pair shared confessions about their past romances, with Carla revealing she used to kiss girls in her teens to “titillate the lad she fancied.”

Lisa’s daughter Betsy was furious when she found out about her mum’s secret romance, and things are about to take a dark turn. Betsy met up with Mason Radcliffe’s thug brothers and gave them the keys to Carla’s factory, telling them to rob and ransack the place.
And in a shocking twist, spoilers reveal that Carla will be attacked next week. When she returns to the factory, she’ll find it’s been trashed and will be struck on the head as she tries to call the police.

The dramatic development in Carla and Lisa’s romance got fans talking on social media. One fan gushed: “It’s the way I had to PAUSE the episode the moment Carla Connor uttered the words ‘don’t get dressed’ for me. I TOOK A LAP AROUND THE ROOM – I am embarrassed of myself to be quite frank.”
Another viewer praised the show, saying: “All I can say right now is thank you @itvcorrie for giving us one of the best episodes I’ve seen, it was handled with so much sensitivity and grace but also passion and fire and I applaud you and Ali and Vicky were absolutely amazing as always”.
One fan was left in stitches, saying: “Carla thinking they were done after one round took me OUT.” Another shared the sentiment, adding: “Just as I thought I couldn’t love Carla Connor anymore we get that episode. What a woman, what a character. Bloomin eck.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
